Pricing information

Brunswicks is a provider of specialist legal advice primarily to businesses.  Typically, our fees are calculated with reference to an hourly rate to which VAT is added.  In addition, if we have incurred expenses on your behalf (known as ‘disbursements’) these will be charged to you at cost.

When agreeing to act for you we will provide you with an engagement letter that will set out in detail the fees and charges we anticipate will be incurred as well as the length of time we anticipate an assignment will take.  Before charging you, and before sending out an engagement letter we will discuss with you what your assignment is, what your desired outcome is and how we would intend to carry out your instructions.

Typically our charge-out rates are:

Grade of fee earner

Hourly rate before VAT

Director

Between £300-£320

Solicitor

Between £200-£250

Non-admitted fee-earner

Between £100-£150

The rate we charge will be agreed in advance with you before it applies.  We will not start work on your assignment before we have agreed the basis on which our charges are to apply.  The higher rates within the bands shown typically will apply to the more complex and difficult matters.

When agreeing to act for you we will provide you with an estimate of the fees likely to be incurred.
